Wieland Speaks to Middle School Students on Courtroom Careers, Trial Advocacy
Partner Jennifer Wieland joined Bradette Groves, Regional Director at Consilio LLC, to present to seventh grade English students at Monticello Trails Middle School in Shawnee, Kansas, on courtroom careers and trial advocacy on November 16, 2022.
Wieland and Groves led the students in a mock civil trial featuring Mr. Townsperson’s negligence claim against Elsa (from Frozen) after his wagon crashed on an icy road. The students played all roles in the trial, from sketch artist to judge to all attorneys and witnesses (including a forensics expert who had collected the cell phone data of Mr. Townsperson).
