Personal Profile

Alex is a dynamic and skilled litigator with significant experience representing and advising clients through complex business and commercial disputes, employment matters, professional negligence claims, and personal injury litigation in state and federal courts across the country.

Prior to joining Berkowitz Oliver, Alex was a partner at a large national firm where he regularly defended claims of discrimination, retaliation, and wrongful termination brought under state and federal law.  He also regularly defended catastrophic injury claims and litigated matters involving breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, restrictive covenants, business torts, and theft of trade secrets.

Alex excels in navigating through a variety of legal issues and through the complexities of civil litigation.  Whether working with an individual or a large corporation, Alex works with his clients to develop successful strategies with the aim of reaching favorable settlements or an advantageous position at trial.

Outside of work, Alex enjoys spending time with friends and family and is actively involved in the Kansas City community.
