Berkowitz Oliver Sponsors KC Hospice & Palliative Care Event
Berkowitz Oliver underwrote the live entertainment at Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care’s annual signature fundraiser, Sunday Night Live, on September 15, 2019. The event was held in Kansas City’s Power and Light District and raised more than $425,000 for the many programs Kansas City Hospice offers, including grief support and a pediatric hospice program that is the only one of its kind in the region. More than 475 guests braved high temperatures to enjoy a garden-style soiree with live jazz music and living statues. Berkowitz Oliver attorney Megan Costello, a member of Kansas City Hospice’s Board of Directors, reported that this was the event’s biggest year yet. “I am so proud our firm has sponsored Sunday Night Live now for two years running,” said Costello. “By underwriting the event’s entertainment, Berkowitz Oliver allows more of the evening’s ticket sales go directly toward community members in need.”
