It may feel like Civ Pro 101, but a federal district judge in Kansas recently ruled in a contract dispute that the case would not be transferred to the state whose law governed under the contract. As noted in the case, “federal judges are qualified to apply state law and a breach of contract claim is a relatively simple legal issue.”
