Firm Chili Cook-off Brings the Heat
The firm held its annual Chili Cook-off on October 26, 2024. The Chili Cook-off is an annual event that honors firm employees Lynne Clark and Lois Steward in connection with Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
This year’s Chili Champion was Carson Hinderks, whose “In my Smoked Era Chili” topped the seven spicy entries. Also competing with chili entries were Jennifer Wieland, Kirk Peterson, Braden Lefler, Courtney Kroeger, Alex DeMasi, and Stephanie Boord. Carson took home the coveted Pepper Belt Buckle.
The event also featured our fourth-annual Cornbread Bake-off, won this year by Shazzie Naseem and his “Objection: Too Tasty!” cornbread. Also competing with cornbread entries were Kirk Peterson, Erin Miller, and Jasmine Ward. Shazzie took home the Golden Spatula. Shazzie, Tony Durone, and Stacey Gilman share the distinction of having won both the Pepper Belt Buckle and the Golden Spatula.
The firm gathered after the Cook-off to show of their pink attire. Former Chili Cook-off and Cornbread Bake-off winners posed with their belt buckles and spatulas after the event: Jeff Morris, Diamond Thomas, Carson Hinderks, Shazzie Naseem, Tony Durone, Stacey Gilman, and Jennifer Wieland (left to right).
